Upgrade Huawei K3520 using 3 Connect Dashboard

Since i bought Huawei K3520 dongle modem, I have tried many way to get self comfortable with the dashboard. Because Huawei K3520 is vodafone version, maybe the reseller got the unlock version and by default using Mobile Partner Dashboard.

Based on many website told that Huawei K3520 is similar with Huawei E169, and after googling, I found the link in three UK website, and Three UK had Huawei E169.

Because I really like 3connect Dashboard interface on my ZTE MF627 that i posted before, so I tried to use 3connect Dashboard from three.co.uk. But sadly after using the installer the modem cannot work. I’m not givin’ up with that situation, so I tried to use the Flash version for Huawei E169 on my Huaei K3520.

The different thing between Flash Version and 3Connect installer is, Flash Version will upgrade your Huawei K3520 Zero CD with 3Connect Dashboard, and it will remove Zero CD Mobile Partner Dashboard inside the modem.

Step by step guide I will share to you, but All risk is in yourself, I will not responsibility with any crash on your dongle….

1. go to this link : http://www.three.co.uk/Mobile_Broadband/Getting_started/Detail?content_aid=1220455869867

2. Download 3connect upgrade tool and Upgrade Guide (Windows only) (in three.co.uk is on the right side)

3. After that plug in your modem Huawei K3520

4. Extract file 3Connect_E169_Flasher.zip and extract, it will give you 3Connect_E169_Flasher.exe file

5. Double click the 3Connect_E169_Flasher.exe file, and follow below captured :

Just click accept and click Next button

information about the device, just click Next to continue

Warning message, click Start to continue

Flashing process

if the process done, you will get this message

3Connect Dashboard preview

and then your Huawei K3520 will use 3Connect Dashboard Zero Disc, so goodbye for Mobile Partner.

    yup 3connect is better than mobile partner, and it will upgrade your firmware too, but be careful to do the upgrade process. and until now i'm using 3 and sometimes change to axis…because both operator have similar price and connection not bad enough….

    I have a k3520 modem, and this program (3 connect) doesn't work for me. I even can't connect to the inernet with it :( Can you help me? (from Hungary)
