Upgrade Firmware Huawei K3520/E169

Since i bought Huawei K3520 modem, I’m not do any experiment, because there aren’t so many people talk about it in the internet. Now I’d like to share about firmware upgrade for Huawei K3520/E169 and activate the voice feature.

K3520 is different with E169…??

The different thing is only the label, Huawei K3520 is re-branding by Vodafone and most of that modem lock by vodavone, and cannot be use with other services. And Huawei E169 is pure from Huawei, of course you can independently use any services.

Note :

Before do firmware upgrade, make sure your computer electric is stable, because if you are in the process and the computer shutting down, can make your modem broke. Better way you are use laptop/notebook with the battery inside and plug the electrical adapter rightly.

 

Download below file :

1. E169x_K3520Update_11.315.05.00.00.B418.rar

2. Mobile_Partner_11.302.09.01.539_Voice_USSD.zip

 

If you’re done, start the number one file first with double click and follow the process, like the captured below :

just press the Next button

Just wait for searching device

Information about device

k3520_5[1]

Warning Message, make sure to follow Red instruction

k3520_6[1]

Updating firmware process, first is backing up the users data

k3520_7[1]

Still process, downloading programs

k3520_8[1]

Restoring users data

k3520_9[1]

and the process will done, click OK button to finish all process

Unplug your Huawei K3520 modem from computer/laptop, and then plug again.

 

Upgrade Mobile Partner Software

if you’d like to use the voice feature, you have to install new Mobile Partner software with the link above, below the instruction :

1. Extract Mobile_Partner_11.302.09.01.539_Voice_USSD.zip 

2. Run Setup.exe and follow the instruction until finish

if you’re done, you can see this captured

    thanks bgt , udah diupgrade firmwarenya, tapi sempet ngehang, trus dicoba lagi baru succesfull.
    di Mobile Partner kalo USSD-nya nggak mau respon kenapa ya ??? setelah receive : teks kosong, aku pake simpati coba cek pulsa gak bisa…

    mas saya juga make k3520 pas dibeli di wilayah saya cuma dapet sinyal edge/gprs, masalahnya sinyalnya kok turun naik yah apa modemnya yg salah?, masih bisa ditukar mumpung garansi.:D
    anehnya saya coba di wilayah full coverage hsdpa, sinyal hsdpanya full stabil make kartu telkomflash, tapi ketika ditukar ke sinyal gprs only sinyalnya tetap turun naik, mohon advicenya mas .
    saya masih make firmware bawaan voda ver. 11.314.12.02.00

    Thanks gan pencerahannya, tapi untuk modem K3520 kan sofwere bawaannya pake Join Air 3G (ane pake win7), nah aku coba pake mobile partner knp gak bisa ya gan?? bingung nich…, mslahnya law pake sofwere itu sering hang, mohon bantuan gan……

    he he he td udah aku coba, eeee muncul tulisan data card not found maybe data card using other program,,, mlah tambah puyeng ni.. masalahnya pengen bgt nyoba pake mobile partner gitu….:D

    gan saya pke modem k3520, tapi kec nya hanya 53,8 kbs dan hanya dapet sinyal gprs, klo dapet edge jd 200-an kbs, padahal temen saya yg satu wilayah bisa dapet hsdpa dengan modem yg ama dan provider yang sama, tolong pencerhanannya gan…

      iya klo gprs ya mang segitu aja mas surya….
      btw sinyal edgenya dapet brapa bar…??
      coba settingan di modem dashboard (etc: mobile partner) diset hanya menerima sinyal 3G, kalau dapet 1 atau 2 bar lomayan juga koneksnya. Tapi klo dapetnya sedikit biasanya modem lebih panas….

    mas mau nanya klo aplikasi huawei yg bisa voice diatas di masukan ato dijadikan sofware bawaan modem bisa gak ya?biar antara modem ma sofwarenya engga pisah ranjang gitu mas.trimakasih infonya

      dengan langkah di atas akan merubah Zero Boot CD yang ada di dalam modem huawei e169 dengan aplikasi dashboard Mobile Partner yang sudah Voice enable, jadi tidak pisah ranjang mas…..kan default aplikasi dashboard yang ada di pasaran untuk modem huawei umumnya menggunakan Mobile Partner yang belum support Voice.

          sepertinya di dashboard 3connect tidak ada fitur voice, utk voice anda lebih baik tidak perlu upgrade menggunakan 3connect mas pake punya globe aja.

    HELP me plz, Vodafone K3520(new), setelah diinstal & dijalankan aplikasinya, device berkali-kali terhubung & terputus dgn sendirinya di Port USB, kenapa? apakah ada spesifikasi / prosedur khusus? mohon bantuannya & solusinya. trimakasih sebelumnya.
